THE SRC WEEK CELEBRATION

The 28th GNUST SRC celebration which is to start on the monday 15th July 2024 and having a climax on Sunday 21st July,2024.This event has become of the remarkable events by all the student body.All students,staff and any other member of the school and the SRC is present to witness the event from the beggining Monday and going climax on Sunday 21st July.Now lets get to know what happened from day one to the final day..........
DAY 1 :
MONDAY 15th July,2024 (Launching and Seminar With Movie)
On Monday morning,The event is set to begin by making formal arrangements and how the event will commence.The Staffs and other SRC members and including majority of the students body are available to welcome the upcoming or ongoing event.The staff members including most of the department's HOD'S are available to make formal arrangements of the SRC WEEK celebration.
Same day but during Night time there was an arrangement made(Movie Night):This night is usually full of excitement for this brings most of the students together to watch and share their movie experience and to get in touch with the most trending movies.Although i have not given much of my time to this event,but i really believe it was amazing and well organized.
DAY 2:
Entrepreneurship training and Talent show
The entrepreneurship training is organised by the SRC president and other executives of the SRC unit.As the tittle will already describe the event.
This event took place in the morning at the main campus of the university .I have no much experience about this.
The Event then commerce to the Talent show were students with talents come on stages to discuss their skills and God gifted talents.
DAY 3:
Inter department Sports competition and cooking competition
This day was one of the remarkable moments especially the inter department sports competition when it comes to the aspect of the boys.The sports competition event gathers not only the students but some of the staff members and even nearby neighbours and the closest Secondary School(SUSEC).The sports was fun and the winning department was given a trophy to reward their students for their hard work put in place.
On the other hand the cooking competition will also be one of the best moments on the girls aspect.The atmosphere was full with different aroma of different continental and local dishes.
The winning department also got an award for their greatness.
The cultural night:
On the same night, students who belong to the various ethnic groups and having similar or different cultures are given the maximum opportunity to display their cultural dances and other activities:
Those groups that participated include
The Dagati
The Dagombas
The Konkombas
The Voltas
The Gonjas
And many more.These are the few I could remember The finals of the sports competition and Jams
The sports competition has finally came to end and the winning department was given a trophy and a whole celebration was made by the winning department.
During the night,There was a Jams organised to refresh the students and to get more excitement.This day is also one of the remarkable nights and days.The community was filled with good music, love and excitement all over.
We dance and show love to each other.The beautiful and sexy ladies were all around to make the night very happy and interesting.
Although I didn’t get a girl but the day was great for me.
DAY 5:
Friday 19th:Most strongest and date rush event
On Friday afternoon,the most strongest competition was on going at the main campus around the volleyball court. The event also gathers students and outsiders. The students carried heavy and huge objects to show who have the ability and capacity to make it.Many contested but few are able to make it.This is the most funniest moments I can remember.
The night had approach and the date rush event is ongoing.This event really made a large attendance to the schools auditorium..The contestants are to choose their loved ones and get into relationship as they say but I don’t really believe this is going to be a serious relationship.But they can decide.
DAY 6:
Saturday 20th,floating with Colours
On the following Saturday morning a float event is organised for the entire Students to take a quick keep fit and to move around the Sunyani municipality and view the development and land features of the town.
There was music buzzing around and a lot of excitement was seen in all the students.They move from place to place and they finally set back to school to have a rest waiting for the final day which is the artist night.
DAY 7:
Sunday 21st ARTIST NIGHT CELEBRATION
Artist night celebration:The src week celebration without inviting an artist is never a complete week until an artist is invited to join the celebration.
The young dnd most talented artist who is well known for his music and passion
Kelvyn Boy was invited to the university campus to perform at the artist night.The show was good and there is much joy all over the university campus and beyond.
Not more than half an hour Kelvyn Boy left the stage and this made we the students bored and regretted booking him to perform at the artist night during the SRC Week celebration artist night.
